You’d think it would be enough that the United States nags China to devalue their currency, or nags China to stop torturing and imprisoning human rights activists, or accuses China of criminal hacking to gain access to American industry trade secrets, or hassles China over its internet censorship, or criticizes China for its repressive governing of Tibet or its devious investment in Africa, or it’s use of dirty coal to pollute the atmosphere at staggering rates, or its refusal to reign in the excesses of North Korea and it’s crazy clown dictator, etcetera, ad nauseum, ad infinitum.
No. It’s not enough. Taunting China, daring them to bomb Taiwan back to the Stone Age, the United States will soon sell $4.6 billion worth of arms to Taiwan, China’s former BFF and current most hated enemy. Not exactly the best way to win China’s support of new sanctions against America’s most hated enemy, the horrible, murderous and satanic Islamic Republic of Iran. Not exactly the best way to get China to the bargaining table for talks over trade, nuclear proliferation or arms control.
But then, despite President Obama’s Nobel Peace prize, he’s not the least bit interested in reigning in America’s defense industry, or indeed America’s thirst for blood, wherever it can find it. Aren’t you glad you voted for ol’ Barack the peacenik? The more things change…

$6.4 billion
$6.4 billion
That’ll all go towards Health Care, won’t it?
@Oblio’s Cap
NO!
No, the $6.4 billion will go towards insuring that we are free enough to not get any health care, because without freedom we’d be dead anyway.
