Haha you pro-life people are such jerks sometimes. There was some blasted initiative in Nevada that sought to say the following:
The Nevada Personhood initiative proposed to amend the state Constitution by defining a person and extending due process rights from the beginning of biological development through end of life. The petition does not specifically mention abortion, but says its intent is to codify “the inalienable right to life for everyone, young or old, healthy or ill, conscious or unconscious, born or unborn.”
Sneaky bastards! This is their way of doing things, apparently. Various states have enacted parental notification laws, and various others are currently entrenched in utter warfare over the “definition of a person.” Well how would you define a person, reader? It seems pretty fucking obvious to your Editor what a “person” is, but not so for the “Nevada Personhood” folks. Luckily, they have failed miserably, once again.
The Judge who decided the case said the following:
“There’s no way for the voter to understand the effects of the initiative,” he said
Well, as happy as S&P is that the measure was rejected — let’s “understand the effects of the initiative.” IT WOULD PAVE THE WAY FOR TONS OF LEGISLATIVE BULLSHIT. Simple enough, right?
The ballot question was filed in October, and challenged by three plaintiffs represented by lawyers for Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union.
Voters in Colorado rejected a similar measure in 2008. This year, it is being pursued in about a half dozen states.
We can only assume the Mormons are behind this, or some variation thereof. We should also go back to the wonderful ballot initiative in California called Prop 8, which almost everybody is aware of, where California voters went to the ballot and stared at an initiative that read “Should Not Not Gay Marriage Be Not Banned But Banned?” which resulted in most people scratching their heads, getting immediately scared that they might be gay, and ending in a check for “yes, no, maybe?” on the ballot. Christians are a sneaky lot.

Where are the protections for the lizard people? The judge was right to throw that out.
Lizard people? How about cows, chickens & piggies? Not to mention badgers. Nobody ever thinks about the badgers.
Sometimes I become scared that I might not be gay. Should I be not banned but banned?
Why are they still be called Pro-Life.
I’m not against life.
Someone brought this to my attention recently and dammit he/she is right..
