Guess who is all over the news touting her hate for “climategating” scientists and their (not) falsified data? WHY, SARAH PALIN OF COURSE. First— we need a little background.
Sarah Palin has been masquerading herself in various ways— such as here and here, trying to push the FACTS. As Palin cannot claim to be an expert on anything but child-bearing, it seems a bit odd that barbie is now interjecting into the climate change debate.
We cannot blame her for trying to form an opinion, however. Sarah Palin is so very smart. The problem arises with her memory loss.
LET’S SPIN THE MEMORY WHEEL:
Feel free to send this to all of your “Liberal Blog” sodomites, as it is a Declaration from then-governor Sarah Palin— and just guess what it says:
I, Sarah Palin, Governor of the State of Alaska, under the authority of art. III, secs. 1 and 24 of the Alaska Constitution establish the Alaska Climate Change Sub-Cabinet to advise the Office of the Governor on the preparation and implementation of an Alaska climate change strategy.
OKEE DOKEE. That’s a good start, Sarah. There’s your name right there on the “strategy.” Surely it will on to say things like “CLIMATE CHANGE FARCE” and “STOP AL GORE,” as that is typical of a Sarah Palin gathering.
The purpose of the Climate Change Sub-Cabinet is to advise the Office of the Governor on the preparation and implementation of an Alaska climate change strategy. This strategy should include building the state’s knowledge of the actual and foreseeable effects of climate warming in Alaska, developing appropriate measures and policies to prepare communities in Alaska for the anticipated impacts from climate change, and providing guidance regarding Alaska’s participation in regional and national efforts addressing the causes and effects of climate change.
Reader? Are you there? Are you reading these words?
What follows is an “action item” list that could be deemed easy to dismiss. After all, one argument commonly made by deniers is that climate change isn’t “man made” at this point, and that the whole thing is “just natural.” Well we can throw that theory out the window with Item 9:
9. the potential benefits of Alaska participating in regional, national, and international climate policy agreements and greenhouse gas registries;
Not convinced? How about Item 12:
12. the opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the operations of Alaska state government;
JEEBUS SHE DOESN’T STOP!
13. the opportunities for Alaska to participate in carbon-trading markets, including the offering of carbon sequestration;
14. the identification of economic opportunities for Alaska that might emerge as a result of the growing response to this global challenge;
So there you have it. When Sarah Palin says things like this:
In fact, we’re not the only nation whose people are questioning climate change schemes. In the European Union, energy prices skyrocketed after it began a cap-and-tax program. Meanwhile, Australia’s Parliament recently defeated a cap-and-tax bill. Surely other nations will follow suit, particularly as the climate e-mail scandal continues to unfold.
What she is really trying to say is, “I am full of shit. Do not listen to me. Send me back to Wasilla now, please.”
YOU’RE WELCOME.
