Townhall is Simply the Dickens

It’s important sometimes for all of us to step back and take a deep breath. More importantly we must look at things we know as if through an untrained eye— so our previous bad attitude or opinion can flower into a positive sea of openness and grace. Your Editor did that with Townhall today.

Things haven’t changed much. Let’s look at the various factors at play.

The inspiration for the bullshit in the first paragraph, above, has to do with some “Circle of Life” Church that has an amazingly idiotic picture, to the left, that is coupled with the following explanation:

That thick blue circle in the middle represents the church called Circle of Hope – three congregations, so far, in one church, a collection of cells, a group of committed members of a covenant, a council of map-makers, sharers in a common fund. We’re hard to define, but who we are has a character, we have a sense of being a people. People have an idea when they are a part of us, and we need to be a part of the body in some discernible way. The dots and lines represent people or groups connecting to other people and groups and forming other circles of friends or partners.

Do you see, friends? DO YOU? The CIRCLE says so. Anyway, back to the case in hand.

Townhall is hilarious.

Yes, it is true. Here is a lovely article written by Jillian Bandes, just yesterday! She is madly in love with Audra Shay, because Audra Shay travels all over the place shitting on anyone who will listen.

Audra Shay of Louisiana has been touring the country for seven months, drumming up support for her campaign to become chairwoman of the Young Republican National Federation, an organization that consists of 10,000 members nationwide.

Oh! She means this woman! Right on, Audra Shaw. Keep pushing the message.

Shay, 38, is a mother of two and has served 8 years in the military. She’s quick to criticize those leaders who are “70% Republican or 80% Republican.”

By golly you ain’t no Republican ‘less you hate them dark-skinned coons.

Yes, she is a horrible fucking racist, so she should do the YRNF well when she is elected as their CHAIRMAN against this “Rachel Hoff” lady who apparently likes gays and does not wish to enslave Africans. The clear choice— is Audra Shay.

BUT the fun doesn’t end with the article. No no. The first comment on the post is so frightfully amazing it had to be posted here for the rest of us to see, from “Gestel, in MA.”

Few conservatives are really willing to consider serioiusly why they should be racists. Racism is surely a traditional belief and value, widely shared in American society, and found, in one form or another, in all societies. As a part of the tradition of a country, it is something that conservatives should seek to maintain.

The idea of ending racist laws and policies has nothing at all to do with conservatism, and everything to do with the agendas developed and pursued by the ideological left. American conservatives used to know this. That’s why Bill Buckley, most of the “National Review” conservative icons, and the crew at “Human Events” were intransigent in their opposition to all of the demands of the civil rights movement and to the federal court decisions and laws passed regarding legal segregation. A few of today’s conservatives keep this legacy alive, but very few indeed.

So any young conservative who is in tune with racism is actually reaching back toward basic conservative values, and should be supported.

This person is either one of the funniest “trolls”  alive or married to a close relative… who knows.

It should be noted however that Townhall is very strict about their comment moderation… so the latter is probable. Isn’t that nice?

In fact, it reminds your Editor of the wonderful thing below:

That is what people actually say on the Internet.

Holy hell, what a collection of insanity. These are the times I remind myself that though 25% is a lot of people out of 300+ million, it’s still a relatively small portion of the electorate. They only have as much power as we give them. I say we give them the power to off themselves.

You guys make fun, but can you refute a single one of those statements? HMM?!?

  • Wilson Edgar

    @Brendan…
No we can’t. Most of here have this handicap, you we see, we usually employ logic to guide our rationale….
For instance, shooting people until they bring Hee Haw back for us would be irrational, since you can buy the dvd watch it as you please but they see it as their God given right.. so yeah.. it’s kinda hard to argue against that.
