Early November of last year, it was assumed that the USofA had finally vanquished the lingering ghosts of racism and was poised on the cusp of a new post-racial dawn. The long dark night of lynching and discrimination was finally over. “Huzzah!” bleated the media, smugly self-congratulatory.
But that was then. This is worse. And leave it to the hyper-sensitive Republicans to sniff out whiffs of the new racism being foisted upon the nation by its first black President. GOP stalwarts Newt Gringrich and Rush Limbaugh were quick to alert the country to a leading practitioner of this new racism, Sonia “Maria” Sotomayor ["SoSo" to her non-friends]. But she’s not your average garden-variety racist, according to the GOP braintrust. Per Newt and Rush, she is a “reverse racist,” rarer than even the “Albino Negro.” This alone should disqualify her from sitting on the Supreme Court, which has never, ever had any benchers who suffered from an iota of racial insensitivity.

And who could possibly know more about this “reverse racism” than old white men who have remained vigilant against discrimination? Nobody, that’s who. It was only last week that Newt, the new Paul Revere, Tweeted and Twatted his wisdom to the nation: “Imagine a judicial nominee said ‘my experience as a white man makes me better than a latina woman. Wouldn’t they have to withdraw? New racism is no better than old racism. A white man racist nominee would be forced to withdraw. Latina woman racist should also withdraw.”
It seems like only yesterday that Newt & Rush warned us about one William Rehnquist, a KKK-lite brigader who valiantly fought against swarthy citizens being allowed to vote. How bad an apple was this man, who became Chief Justice of the Supreme Court? Well…………..
“ In 1971, Newsweek magazine revealed that in 1952, Mr. Rehnquist, then a law clerk to Justice Robert H. Jackson, prepared a memorandum called “A Random Thought on the Segregation Cases.” It was written in the first person and bore Mr. Rehnquist’s initials. It urged Justice Jackson to reject arguments made by lawyers in Brown v. Board of Education, the landmark school desegregation case, and to uphold Plessy v. Ferguson, the 1896 Supreme Court decision holding that “separate but equal” facilities were constitutional. Mr. Rehnquist wrote, “I realize that this is an unpopular and unhumanitarian position for which I have been excoriated by ‘liberal’ colleagues, but I think Plessy v. Ferguson was right and should be re-affirmed.”
Yeah, but that’s just a buncha interpretive Constitutional theorizing, I hear you say. It’s not like he actually did anything to prevent the disenfranchised from voting, right?
“Psychology Professor Sydney Smith, a Democratic poll watcher at the time, said that in the ’60s he saw Rehnquist go up to two black men at the polls and say to them, “You’re not able to read, are you? You have no business being here.” San Francisco Attorney James Brosnahan, an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Phoenix in 1962, specifically contradicted Rehnquist’s sworn testimony. Brosnahan recalled how he was summoned by panicky voters and officials to a precinct where Rehnquist was a challenger. Brosnahan said he assumed that it was Rehnquist’s “blanket” challenges of black and Hispanic voters that had led to the tense situation though he had not personally seen Rehnquist challenge anyone. Nonetheless, he testified that Rehnquist’s conduct “was designed to reduce the number of black and Hispanic voters by confrontation and intimidation.”
Of course, you all remember Newt’s impassioned pleas that Rehnquist not be confirmed as Chief Justice, right? Because, like Newt said, “A white man racist nominee would be forced to withdraw.”

Which brings us to the most racially sensitive GOP leader, although he recently “resigned” as the GOP leader. Rush Limbaugh has a lengthy CV of fighting for the underdog, including his fervent opposition to confirming Rehnquist. You all remember that, right?
Rush has been known to demonstrate his sensitivity toward swarthy citizens with bon mots like the time he told a lady AA caller: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.” Or his classic one-liner: “Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”
Being a man’s man, unafraid to speak his mind – consequences be damned – Rush has refused to kowtow to ethnic special interest groups, knowing that such straightforward honesty from him would lead to perpetual GOP victories. Hence, his refusal to pander to ethnics because, as he said of blacks, “They are 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?” Which is, perhaps, why Rush refuses to genuflect before Michael Steele who is, after all, just some RINO in blackface and not the nominal leader of the party…..
We owe a special debt of gratitude to Newt and Rush for illustrating that racial transcendence is a two-way street, and that just because they’re fat old white fucktards doesn’t mean they can’t have an opinion on a Latina judicial nominee. Thus have we all been truly enlightened by their sagacity, earning special props from the Taser of Wisdom.

Sparkquito, sup cuz!!!
Tell it like it is, these culos need a lesson you know….
To be fair, if Maria Sotomayer is confirmed to replace Justice Souter, it won’t make too much of a difference to the balance of the Court. David Souter is notorious for his fiery Latin temper and his hatred of white people (have you seen his shack? if that isn’t evidence of self-loathing, I don’t know what is).
Fantastic stuff Mr. Sparky S. It’s truly a wonder that every time Rehnquist’s name is mentioned it isn’t preceded by “noted racist.” Oh how our MSM loves to rewrite history. Such a loathsome character. Also notable how stupid Rehnquist was. His boss, Justice Jackson, had recently returned from running the Nürnberg trials. To think that Jackson would easily accede to perpetuating racism in US America after seeing first-hand its results in Europe was beyond folly, even for a fucktard as fucktardious as Rehnquist. Keep up the great work, SS.
