Rhymes with “Queer”

This is Supreme Court Justice David Souter’s house in Weare, New Hampshire:

I believe Elizabeth Taylor Bette Davis said it best when she said, “What a dump!”  (Thanks, commenter Bronkers, for employing the Google!  Doing research is definitely not part of my job description!)

“A No-Frills Embrace for a Low-Key Justice” (New York Times)

Dick Cheney’s house looks just the same. It is what you don’t see, several layers below the surface, which is what you have to worry about.

..l I believe it was Bette Davis that uttered “What a dump!” — Yes, just checked GOOGLE – Bette said it first in 1949 in “Beyond the Forest,” and Liz reprised the line in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” in 1966.
