We (Don’t) Build Excitement Anymore!

Well, folks, it’s official: Pontiac is dead. This is no surprise, as Pontiac hasn’t exactly been a “winner” lately, and this author’s opinion is that GM will remain in the red until it reintroduces the 1988 Chevrolet Caprice Classic sedan for 2010 with no styling changes at all. How retro can you get-ro?

Nonetheless, I think we should all take a moment to acknowledge the real murderer of Pontiac: BARRACK HUSSEIN O’BAMBI, the “President” of the “United States of Socialist America.”

If it wasn’t for him, GM would totes be solvent! And there would be no swine flu! And death! And unicorns and kittens would be everywhere! And Michelle Malkin would be just another out-of-work columnist for Portfolio!

What’s the over/under for when wingnuts will start saying that Obama’s done a very bad job in his first 100 days in office: first he kills Pontiac, then what next? WILL HE START KILLING WHITE PEOPLE?

On a related note, here’s a commercial of two gay men driving a Pontiac 6000. Enjoy!

I’m with you if it’s Chevy and they bring back the Chevy Ci-TAY-shun. I had one of those bad motherfuckers back in the day and I was, well, I was pointed at & laughed at, except by my friends who had no car at all. They kept their mouths shut.

Please tell me GM didn’t actually air that commercial. Well, it wouldn’t surprise me.

If they actually got Steinfeld & Costanza to do the ad, it would be a lot better.

How come no one makes spoked hubcaps like your ’88 Caprice anymore? Its all arout rims now. But as America begins to regress, we may well see them appearing on cars soon. Then once we open up trade with Cuba we can start using all those great old Pontiacs from the 1950s again
