It is well known to the American Public that Republicans simply LOVE torture, as it is a great way to get off. However, memos and pictures of torture are unacceptable, as if said memos and photos are released, there will be like 800 9/11s.
“I don’t think there’s any question it would endanger all of us, because I think it will enhance recruitment for all kinds of terrorists willing to come after us,” Sen. Kit Bond (R-Mo.) said on Fox News Sunday.
You see, torture itself does not radicalize foreign combattants— only the photos. This is not very logical, but hey LET’S RUN WITH THE BALL ANYWAY.
We should certainly avoid holding anyone accountable over the issue, says John “Walnuts” McCain:
McCain, Obama’s former presidential rival, stressed that those responsible in the Bush administration for authorizing the tactics have already “been held accountable in the court of public opinion.”
HAHAHA such bullshit! Yay!
Say you run around your town in the interest of perpetrating violent acts. Maybe you beat up an old lady, steal some jewelry or rob a bank. YOU SHOULD NOT GO TO JAIL! Why? Because your reputation is simply ruined! And that is how justice works. What?
Next up, Joe Liberman:
“This whole debate is moot,” Lieberman said on CNN’s State of the Union. “President Obama has prohibited these tactics from being used in interrogation, so … what do we gain, first, by releasing the memos, but, secondly, what do we gain from indicting lawyers for their opinions, if that is a possibility here, or holding a so-called Truth Commission that the reality is, it will poison the water here in Washington.”
If by “poisoning the water” he means “sending people through the Court system” he’s got an excellent point. After all, the atrocious acts that caused the United States to lose standing in world opinion and made us look like Rome when they were slaughtering Christian folks is probably not something that needs to be pursued, as it’s too late anyway.
This whole debate is moot of course because we are all going to die of Swine-Flu. The end.

Question: Does Lynndie England get conjugal visits when she goes to see Graner in jail?
I heard a guy who was in Iraq say that after you’ve been there a while a female soldier who’s a 2 looks like a 10. And poor Lynndie may be a 3 but I bet Graner regrets knocking her up more than the torture business.
Funny how these pro-torture people think torture is so great & works a treat and are so convinced of their righteousness (are they?) that they don’t think we should sully the whole mess with prosecutions and stuff. You’d think if they were convinced that torture is the shiznit and they are righteous dudes for doing it that they’d be happy to point this out in court. Yet they are not. I am not clever enough to figure out why this is so.
I am clever enough that the next time I’m in court for a felony I’m asking for a summary judgement of ‘not guilty’ because hey judge, I’ve been held accountable by the court of public opinion, and we certainly do not want to poison the water here, so lets drop this whole thing and just move forward. Deal?
Jesus was tortured and he turned out all right, OK? Now get with the program, tourturing creates more baby Jesuses
Did Lynndie England give brith to the next Jesus?
