How can they possibly say that? Here we are, in the middle of a Great Depression, the gays are getting married and taking our rights away, and a black man is starring in Death of a Salesman, and people are saying that the country is headed in the RIGHT DIRECTION?! They must be smoking some killer reefer. Or heroin.

There’s something about that photo that makes me proud to be an American.
If Americans were smoking heroin (not the best way to do it, needles are most efficient) they wouldn’t answer the phone to do the survey. having lost their phone last week sometime. In fact they wouldn’t be at home, they’d be at their dealer’s since they lost their phone and living with him/her is the only way to make sure you can get more, provided you are ready to suck some dick in lieu of cash payment. But I digress. As I said elsewhere I bought $1000 of weed on 4/21. A day late. In fact, our house had NO WEED on 420 Day. That will be a capital crime punishable by death in the future society where weed is legal.
I am ambivalent about the whole legalize weed issue. On the one hand, yes, decriminalize it. On the other hand, I haven’t hard difficulty purchasing any for at least 20 years. I guess the price would go down, but then we all have friends who make a living selling weed. Do you want those poor souls to have to get a regular job? Do you even have a heart? They need their free time for band rehearsal or painting or whatever unemployable wannabe creative hippies do. Legalize weed and NO MORE MUSIC HELL NO MORE ARTS PERIOD. Is that what you want? Cuz that’s what’ll happen.
@HoboSpaceMonkey If weed were legalized, it’d probably go up in price, given that they’d probably tax it more than cigarettes. In reality, we’re probably living in the golden age of marijuana now, where is is cheap and ubiquitous. Shame it’s fueling the Mexican Drug Cartels and their violence, you bunch of hypocritical hippies? Oh I’m sorry, did I ruin your “buzz”?

And I take issue with being blamed for the Mexican cartel wars. I blame the politicians and whoever originally pushed to outlaw marijuana/hemp. I heard some story recently about that, about it being some guy with some competing interest in making stuff that can also be made with hemp (could I be more vague?) Anyway, the idiots who made a harmless drug illegal are to blame for the cartels, just like those silly temperance people were to blame for the lives lost trying to enforce the constitutional amendment prohibiting the consumption of alcohol.
