Liberals, shame on you. Only in a fascist Obama government can a good American company go bankrupt because there are not enough Illegals to work the hydroponic farms. But lo and behold, Eurofresh Inc, an Arizona grower of over 200 million tomatoes and cucumbers filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy today, “citing labor shortages following illegal immigration crackdowns.”
This bankruptcy marks another sad day as the economy continues to turn against its upper middle class masters. Not only will the unconscionable happen, the loss of 10-20 high wage executive jobs, but this is a line in the sand for other great American companies who employ Illegals. Will they face bankruptcy because they must pay a living wage?!? Will Obama force the destruction of the true heart of American innovation, as he paves the way for a Manchurian invasion by a country more willing to support the Golden Truths of cheap labor?!?
Or this is just another kind of example where the business model of the last twenty years has been shown to be unsustainable. If you build a business that relies on a certain kind of government regulation (in this case labor), then at any point the rules can be changed. If under those easily possible scenarios, your business is no longer profitable, then that is real capitalism at work. Hopefully, whoever buys these operations (should cost you about $50M) will turn them around and use a business model that works.
It is also a statement about the inherent dangers of single crop farming, as the other major cause of bankruptcy was corruption by the Tomato Mosaic Virus. This destroyed a couple successive crops. This might serve as a potential warning sign about the actual stability of our agricultural system also. As if we need something else to worry about.
On the brighter side, there are a lot of soon to be rotten tomatoes sitting in warehouses across the west waiting to be thrown. Ya’ll better catch up!

Do you know what makes this country great? Exploitation. That is what makes this country great.
Maybe don’t run a non-cactus farming operation in fucking Arizona? That might help on the cost end as well. I hear growing plants in the actual dirt in a reasonably moist climate is fairly cost-effective.
American Greatness was built on the totally sturdy house of cards known as monoculture. And you’ll end it only by prying the govt subsidies out of ADM’s cold, dead hands.
